French Prairie – The First Transatlantic Bridge

After three years of careful work, French Touch Seeds released French Prairie in early 2025 as their first major international collaboration — a regular seed project with American underground breeder Justin Lehmann of Prairie State Genetix (PSGX.WORLD), based in Nevada.

The cross is deliberate: a European cut selected from a seed lot sent to the collective by Justin of Ken’s Comeback Cake (Wedding Cake × Grandpa Larry / Ken’s cut) from PSGX × a specially chosen male of French Touch Seeds’ Kikiriki. Ken’s Comeback Cake brings modern dessert density, abundant resin and cookie-dough sweetness from the Wedding Cake side, along with grape-berry notes and earthy kush from the Grandpa Larry influence (Granddaddy Purple × Larry OG). The Kikiriki male brings exotic tropical terpenes (pineapple, mango, passion fruit) and the reggae/Jamaican cultural link.

The resulting plant is a balanced 50/50 hybrid (slight indica dominance in structure) that keeps the productive structure and heavy resin of the Cake side while letting Kikiriki dominate the terpene profile — exotic, tangy, fruity notes over a cookie base. Flowering is about 65 days indoors, outdoor harvest mid-October.

Once the work was finished, Viking traveled to Nevada to finally meet Justin in person and bring part of the stock produced in Europe to be offered in the United States. Viking also brought Justin several regular seed lots from the collective as a gift, including Athurin, which we will return to later. He came back to Europe with many regular packs gifted by Justin to the collective.

Launched at Spannabis 2025 (with PSGX collector boxes on the French Touch Seeds booth), simultaneously in the United States via PSGX and in Argentina via Mariseeds, through Lucas who opened the doors of South America to the collective. The project was presented as much more than another hybrid: a genuine exchange between European selection + Jamaican genetics rooted in reggae and American underground breeding, with the explicit goal of unifying world genetics and connecting scenes on both sides of the Atlantic.
